The domain myvarivera.co is owned by My VA Rivera and automatically redirects to myvarivera.com. These Terms & Conditions apply to all access through any My VA Rivera domain.

Acceptance of Terms

By visiting this website, submitting an inquiry, booking a consultation, or engaging our services in any capacity, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If accepting on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

Description of Services

My VA Rivera offers the following professional services, all subject to a signed engagement agreement:

ONLINE NOTARY SERVICES

Remote and in-person notarization by a New Jersey commissioned notary public. Subject to NJ law and jurisdictional requirements. See Section 10 for the full Notary Disclaimer.

SERVICE LIMITATIONS

My VA Rivera serves individual consumers of services and business entities of all types. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer to provide services; all engagements require a signed client agreement.

Financial Operations Disclaimer

Financial operations support provided by My VA Rivera is strictly administrative in nature (spreadsheet management, expense tracking, data entry, document organization). Unless a separate written agreement explicitly identifies a licensed, credentialed professional performing a specifically defined financial service, nothing provided by My VA Rivera constitutes accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll processing, financial advising, auditing, or any other licensed or regulated financial service.

My VA Rivera holds no CPA license, bookkeeping certification, or financial advisor registration, and assumes no fiduciary duty to any client. Clients are solely responsible for engaging appropriately licensed professionals for their financial compliance obligations.

Medical & Sensitive Professional Disclaimer

My VA Rivera is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Clients subject to HIPAA or other professional confidentiality obligations are solely responsible for ensuring that information shared with My VA Rivera complies with applicable law. Clients should not share protected health information (PHI), privileged legal communications, or other legally protected data through this website.

Eligibility & Geographic Scope

Our services are intended for individuals and business entities operating lawfully in the United States. By using this website, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.

Notarization is a ministerial act. It does not constitute legal advice or any representation regarding the legality, validity, accuracy, or enforceability of any document. My VA Rivera is not a law firm and does not practice law. Clients are solely responsible for ensuring a document is appropriate and legally sufficient for its intended purpose and jurisdiction.

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is subject to additional platform, identity verification, and jurisdictional requirements. My VA Rivera makes no representation that a remotely notarized document will be accepted in all jurisdictions.

Section 11

Call & Meeting Recording Disclosure

My VA Rivera uses third-party tools that may record, transcribe, or summarize consultation calls and meetings. By participating in a call with My VA Rivera, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of recording for internal business purposes. Recordings are handled with executive-level confidentiality and are not shared with unauthorized third parties. To opt out, notify us in writing prior to your scheduled call.

MY VA RIVERA'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.00 USD. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR DAMAGES; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS APPLY ONLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

Notwithstanding the above, nothing in these Terms limits My VA Rivera's liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable New Jersey or federal law. Where applicable consumer protection statutes provide for minimum liability standards, those statutory minimums shall govern.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless My VA Rivera and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of this website.

Section 18

Force Majeure

My VA Rivera shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, governmental action, internet or power failure, or third-party service provider outages.

Section 19

Waiver

No failure or delay by My VA Rivera in exercising any right under these Terms constitutes a waiver of that right. A waiver of any particular breach shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from My VA Rivera. My VA Rivera may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Any unauthorized assignment is void.

Section 21

Governing Currency

All fees and financial terms are stated in United States Dollars (USD). International clients are responsible for any currency conversion fees. Exchange rate fluctuations do not affect agreed-upon rates.

Section 22

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Disputes shall be resolved through the following sequential process:

Step 1 — Negotiation: Good-faith written negotiation for 30 days following written notice of the dispute.
Step 2 — Mediation: If negotiation fails, mediation with a neutral mediator in New Jersey, costs split equally, within 60 days.
Step 3 — Arbitration: If mediation fails, binding arbitration in New Jersey under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules for individual consumer engagements and AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules for business entity engagements. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding.

BOTH PARTIES WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Either party may pursue claims under $5,000 in small claims court at their sole option.

Changes to These Terms

My VA Rivera may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of this website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Section 24

Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any executed client agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and My VA Rivera regarding this website.
